Music

Welcome to my music page, where you’ll find (most of the) singles, EPs, and full length albums I have released since I began composing music in 2020. Sit back, relax, and sing along!

Behold: Heart, my very first piano that I got for free off the Bay Area Craigslist. Though she is no longer with me, she is forever in my heart. If you can imagine, her sound was incredibly haunting with overtones like wow.

Songs for Us 99%

Two songs channeled for the global majority that struggles with financial abundance, something I still have trouble believing is real on Earth, even though I’ve spent my life struggling financially. Earth is an abundant planet and we humans, stewards of the Earth, are designed to be abundant.

How then–how–is all of the wealth sequestered in one percent of the population?

It’s time for the 99% to rise; into our power and into our abundance. I believe the key to doing so lies in rising into our divinities. We are not meager peons plaguing the Earth. We are divine and infinite souls here in bodies to make positive changes on this planet.

May we rise!

May we manifest money!!

These songs were recorded early in the morning on 3/4/2024. Lightly improvised, as many of my best songs are. You can read a bit more about them here.

Healing By Fire

My latest EP that posits that “when we feel good, we heal.”

Consider these songs you can heal (and step) to.

Listen on the sidebar or on Spotify.

Safe In This Place (432hz)

Venusian

The Boy From Ipanema

MEN (are not machines)

A song about my healing relationship towards men and male bodied individuals.

Divine Masculine (Demo)

To be sung by a man of divine masculine heart, soul, and song.

Sending On

A song I wrote in a 15 minute writing sprint during the season of my life when I participated in a virtual writer’s room for black women. It’s simple and simply one of my favorite songs I’ve written.

The video I made from free stock footage on the web is inspired by delivery women, men, and beings in between. This was around the holiday season, when I could see how much more our neighborhood UPS worker was working and I wanted to express my gratitude for all those who, whether literally or metaphorically, deliver.

Perfect – A reimagining of “Perfect” by Simple Plan

Those of us who have felt the pressure to be perfect, whether ‘real’ or perceived by the wounds within us, will relate to this song. Such a treasure by Simple Plan, the voice of Generation X and Millenial angst alike.

333! The Intergalactic EP

If any of my EPs could be considered successes, then this one would be considered a flop. However I still love it and I know there will be some intergalactic beings who agree 🙂

Flop or not I’m still keeping it on Spotify!

My Crystal Collection (Volume 01)

This album started after I woke up from a dream where I heard the music for the song “Pentagonite.” I dashed out of my bed, hit record on my voice memo, and fiddled around until I found the notes on Voice, my electric piano.

❤ Track One: Peacock Ore | Track Two: Green Calcite | Track Three: Pentagonite! Stream on Spotify if you desire ❤

Dark Skin Sin

This song is about my struggle with internalized racism, which is the biggest obstacle I’ve had to overcome in my life thus far.

I Wish Every Day Were Earth Day

Songs in celebration of Mother Earth.

The first song, “Mother Earth” is a musical setting of the poem I wrote of the same title for my “Sacred Love” lyrical coloring book.

Sacred Love

Released under my first music pen-name, HeartSong.

Releasing this was both a joy and a dagger to my heart. After sending out over twenty lyrical coloring books and access to the MP3s, I heard back from less than five of those people, none of whom commented on the music nor the contents of the book. I was crushed. That, paired with a disastrous family listening party meant that this became an album I haven’t returned to much since creating. I recorded this when I was incredibly new to piano playing and production, so I’d like to re-record it someday and give it the justice it deserves.

Thank you to Marissa, who bought the album with her hard earned cash and told me it meant a lot to her. A special thank you to my big sis, Free, who was there when the album was born in an Airbnb somewhere in the Midwest. Free listened to this (and most of my other songs) many times of their own volition, simply because they truly enjoyed it. ❤ Free’s personal favorite is “The Lady in Waiting Medley.”

Track One – Opening Invocation

Track Two – Fairytale Love

Track Three – The Lady in Waiting Medley

Track Four – Shaman’s Sendoff

Track Five – The Dream of Blue

Track Six – Blue/One

Track Seven – Another Tarot Read

Track Eight – The Reading

Track Nine – Sacred Love –oh, music gods, send me the right producer for this!!!

Track Ten – Closing Remarks

BONUS TRACK – My cover of the Minnie Ripperton classic, “Lovin’ You”

Songs for My Mother

The album that started it all.

In 2018, my mother’s health drastically declined and she was diagnosed with multiple autoimmune diseases. In addition to the dis-ease in her body, there was a dis-ease in our relationship, one that had been festering for years and burst within me, causing me to run away from home in search of answers to questions I wasn’t quite sure how to ask. Two years later, I wanted to write this album as a way of explaining where I’d been in “these years in-between…you and me.”

Listen on to get the full story.

I decided to learn piano, not by playing the songs of others, but to write my own as it seemed the easiest way for me to go about it. These are the first songs I ever wrote.

This was also my first time recording music and I was so NERVOUS!!!! Literally shaking in front of the mic. And still, I did it!!!! I’m so proud of this album!!!!!

I pray from the depths of my heart I can re-record this and really bring it to life. But as I revisit these songs four years later, I’m astonished that I was able to create this at all, let alone in about two months. All for my mother, without whom I would not be here.

What a gift to be alive and to be able to celebrate those who gave us life.

Song 1: A Song for My Mother (Chosen One)

Song 2: Where Will Your God Be?

The true story of my mom’s pregnancy with me.

Song 3: Neither of Us Knows How to Deal With Sickness

Song 4: Ego – Okay the piano in this one still gives me chills. I was honestly ashamed of my vocal performance in this song because it was tough for me to switch from head to chest voice in the chorus. As you’ll hear in the next song “The World” I was always criticizing myself. I’m glad I’ve evolved and healed out of that.

Song 5: The World

This song was born out of a poem I wrote in 2018 that recounts the morning I took my mother to the hospital for surgery.

Song 6: Astral Projection – Another poem, this one recited verbatim.

Song 7: The Inbetween – One of my favorite songs I’ve ever written because it encapsulates everything I use music for: healing, storytelling, documenting my life, & expressing my heart with abandon.

Photos from Paris (2018)

Song 8: Ego 2.0 – I wrote this one in Philadelphia, when Freedom and I were driving from California back home, after leaving home and thinking we’d never come back. I’m so glad we did.

Song 9: Now That I Can Breathe – I wrote this one at the converted barn me and Free were renting in Ithaca when we returned to NY. I nicknamed it “Red Barn Studios,” and it’s where this album was recorded.

Song 10: Healing Hymn

Bonus: Your Smile – This was the second song I ever wrote, composing it on Heart back in Berkeley. Free was the first person to ever hear it, and her enthusiastic support helped me believe in myself as a songwriter with something to say and gifts to share with the world. I’m incredibly thankful for my family; without them, “where would I be?”

I am a one-woman operation at the moment, composing, producing, and performing all of my songs! It’s my passion and one of my offerings to this beautiful planet. If you’d like to support me in my musical endeavors, consider making a donation! ❤
